Why is the curved shower rod a SAFE option?

November 3, 2010

Bathtubs and showers can feel very small and confining.  So you wonder why all the BUZZ about the curved, crescent shaped shower rod?  Several very positive features of this shower rod include:

-It provides more space for you to shower or bath inside the tub – in other words, the curtain will not cling to you!

Call Todd's at 480 835 7070 to install this curved, crescent shower rod!

-It is permanently attached to the walls using the world’s strongest fastener system.

-Next time you are in a bathroom in a national hotel chain like Marriott or Hilton, take notice – they use the same permanently-installed, curved, crescent shower rod.

-Can help prevent accidents – often people try to brace their fall by grasping on to whatever they can see or touch.  Grasping on to a shower curtain hanging with a tension rod will fall down right on top of them.

These are all benefits of calling Todd ‘s to install this permanently-installed curved, crescent shower rod.  Safety is within reach and plus any safety grab bars or to convert your fiberglass bathtub to a step-in shower!

Since 1978, Todd’s has served Maricopa County.  We are licensed (residential and commercial), bonded and insured and provide warranties for completed work.

More Cost-effective options to help keep your Bathroom SAFE!

June 19, 2010

Keeping our homes safe is important every day of the year.  In June, during National Home Safety Month, Todd’s Bathtub wants to share more options to help keep your bathroom SAFE!

Stepping up, over and into a bathtub is often difficult, especially with those who have challenges with balance.  Todd’s Bathtubs  offers a cost-effective option of “converting a fiberglass tub to a step-in shower.”  View these before & after photos of Todd’s cutdown for more detail!

And for your shower curtain rod, Todd’s installs a permanent, crescent curved shower rod.  WHY permanent, rather than a tension rod?  The shower curtain will allow you more space and visibility for access in and out of the tub.  If you fall, you don’t want to grab onto the curtain and tension rod and have it all fall down on top of you.

And why a shower curtain, rather than glass shower doors?  Since nobody “pIans to fall” you do not want to brace your fall with a piece of glass, right?  Or what if you fall inside the tub and the glass shower doors are closed and you get stuck inside?  View these photos of the curved shower rod, providing you more space inside your tub and providing a permanent shower rod, installed using the world’s strongest grab bar fastener system installed by Todd’s.

A shower chair or stool with rubber, adjustable height is a good option that will help keep you safe in the shower.  To save 10%, use code AGEPLC” at

National Home Safety Month: What is your “Bathroom Safety Pulse?”

June 7, 2010

June is National Home Safety Month and Todd’s Porcelain & Fiberglass Repair wants to help ensure your bathroom is safe!

Does  your shower or bathtub have safety grab bars at the entry AND inside?   And have you had a non-slip surface applied to your tub or shower floor? Or do you use a non-slip bathmat?

Have you replaced your towel bars with grab bars?  You should – towel bars are not designed to support your weight in the event of a fall.  And Todd’s does not want you to be a statistic: one in three seniors fall in their home each year and over half occur in the bathroom.

Toilets are used several times each and every day.  Does your toilet have grab bars on BOTH sides to help you get up safely?

Todd’s can help you with each of the above safety features for your bathroom – call us today at 480 835 7070 and visit the Safety page on our website!

To review the safety risks and hazards throughout your home, Todd’s highly recommends you contact their Home Safety Expert for a Home Safety Assessment.
